A small tutorial on making this contour lines texture/background.

This tutorial is for paintdotnet but you can try and get this same design in almost all raster image editing software. I've tried creating such texture for Blender as a shader as well.

Use the Clouds render effect (stock) to create a clouds texture. Set any parameters to whatever but leave the blend mode to Over (Normal). Make sure you use black and white.
Apply the Gaussian Blur blur effect (stock) to this layer with any parameters you like. Leave the quality set to 4. Blur it as much as needed to prevent extremely rough edges.
Decrease the color limit using the Posturize adjustment (stock). Make sure that each channel is linked.
Use the Edge Detect stylize effect (stock) to create outlines from the edges of each area of color. Set the strength to 1, and leave the blurring to 0 and the algorithm to Sobel. Don't overlay the edges. This may be hard to see at first.
Use the Curves adjustment (stock) to make the lines created from the Edge Detect effect. Set the first control point at (1, 255) or to where the edges of the lines are completely pixelated.
